Juxt is a mobile application designed to help alternative fuel vehicle operators locate and plan for fuel stations and designated parking along their route. The app additionally allows users to upload new fuel and parking locations while encouraging interaction within the "green vehicle" community.
I was the UX designer on the team and provided all necessary design assets. This included initial wireframes, the first working prototype as well as a revised second version. Because this was a brand new app I additionally created a custom logo and helped define the .
The inaugural NTx App Challenge awarded $80,000 to five teams of web entrepreneurs who created sustainability apps to address four key municipal growth challenges; water conservation, waste and recycling, smart energy, and transportation. Our app won the transportation vertical. My teammates included Gerard Matthew, Priyanka Sharma, and Harish Upadhyayula.
Sometimes its it fun to just get together with your friends and make something. I love working on mobile apps on the side, it provides a way to break away from my typical ux work within the enterprise space and make something delightful.
I had a great time working on this challenge with the team and look forward to more mobile application projects in the future.
